SALT LAKE CITY, UT – Former Utah state representative Becky Edwards announced her senior staff today as she builds her campaign for the U.S. Senate in Utah.

“I’m thankful to have gathered a spectacular team of leaders who bring a wealth of experience to this campaign,” Edwards said. “We will work together to inform and create solutions that will bring better leadership and better politics to Utahns across the state.”

Edwards announced five positions including campaign manager, senior advisor, communications director, operations director, and volunteer coordinator.
Staff positions and biographies are listed below:

Chase K. Christiansen, Campaign Manager
Christiansen is the campaign manager for Becky Edwards for U.S. Senate. He most recently worked as the Deputy Chief of Staff to Congressman Blake Moore (UT-01), and as an advisor to the Blake Moore for Congress campaign. As a native of Hooper, Utah, Christiansen previously worked in marketing and communications roles for Cicero Group, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development, and several small businesses within Utah’s outdoor recreation industry.

During his tenure at the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development, he executed marketing and communications strategy for statewide initiatives including the Utah Economic Summit, Utah Outdoor Recreation Summit, Utah Aerospace Pathways, Diesel Tech Pathways, and Talent Ready Utah. He served as a community board member for Emerging Leaders Initiative of Utah and was on the Board of Trustees for the Bicycle Collective where he earned the Presidential Volunteer Service award. Christiansen earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication from Weber State University. He currently resides in Davis County with his wife, Anna, and son Lawrence.

Andrea Himoff, Senior Advisor
Andrea Himoff is the co-founder and former executive director of Action Utah, a nonpartisan community advocacy organization helping Utahns from both sides of the aisle get civically engaged to impact the issues they care about most. In her work at Action Utah from 2016-2020, Andrea developed and advocated for state policies on top issues like health care, clean air, education, and climate change. Action Utah merged with the nonpartisan Better Utah Institute in late 2020.

Prior to that, Andrea was an award-winning independent film producer and screenwriter, shooting films in Los Angeles and Eastern Europe and coordinating multi-national crews. In 2002 she co-founded the animation production company Jellyman Productions.

Andrea has been a frequent guest on Utah media outlets discussing Utah policy and critical issues. In 2018, Andrea was named the Utah Nonprofits Association Emerging Nonprofit Leader of the Year. Andrea received a bachelor’s degree in classical studies from Dartmouth College, graduating summa cum laude. She lives in Park City with her family.

Kyle Treasure, Communications Director
A graduate of Brigham Young University – Idaho, Kyle Treasure is a seasoned communications specialist who most recently worked as Communications Director for the Joint Economic Committee in Washington, D.C.
Prior to his move East, he held several positions at Sutherland Institute, a Salt Lake City-based conservative think tank, including Donor Relations Manager and Office Manager.
Before joining the political world, Kyle worked at various startups around his native western Wyoming and eastern Idaho including Topo Insurance, Brimmer Communications, and Adoption.com, the world’s largest adoption online resource. He currently lives in Bountiful, Utah.

Bethany Crisp, Operations Director
Bethany Crisp is the Operations Director for the Becky for Utah Senate Campaign. Bethany studied Political Science and minored in Middle Eastern Studies at Brigham Young University. While at BYU, Bethany spent her time getting involved in Utah politics by interning for the Romney Senate Campaign and for local, state, and federal offices with elected officials. She also worked as Communications Director for a Utah non-profit, Girls Lobby.

Prior to working for the campaign, Bethany worked in Sexual Assault Services for The Refuge Utah, a non-profit serving victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. She volunteers in the community for the Utah County Children’s Justice Center and for The Refuge Utah. She looks forward to helping Becky Edwards be elected to the U.S. Senate.

Elizabeth Rasmussen, Volunteer Coordinator
Elizabeth Rasmussen’s political involvement started at age eight, when she earned an award for her essay on the Star-Spangled Banner. Since then, she has cultivated her political aspirations by volunteering for political campaigns, serving as a state delegate, and working for Brigham Young University’s political science department. Elizabeth’s culminating college experience, however, was serving as a policy intern for the Romney for Utah campaign, where she focused on political research, campaign operations, and voter outreach.

After earning a degree in American Studies from BYU, Elizabeth moved to Washington, D.C., where she worked as a Staff Assistant for Senator Mitt Romney. After two eventful and fulfilling years, she moved back to Utah, taking a job at SimpleCitizen to assist prospective immigrants with their residency applications.

In June 2021, Elizabeth enthusiastically jumped back into politics, joining the Becky for Utah Campaign where she now leads volunteer efforts. Despite her passion for politics, Elizabeth’s at her happiest when traveling with friends, training for triathlons, or mountain biking with her husband, Hunter.
